“When we speak of designing, we conveniently forget the 15% of our population which suffers from some sort of disability, which means that we’re comfortably overlooking 1 Billion people around the world! Designing with intention and consciousness, eliminates this omission and changes the world for better. We often forget that most revolutionising designs come from a space of inclusion; of helping and aiding people.
For example- Matti Makonen developed Text Messages, with the idea of helping deaf people communicate. Can we imagine our life without text messages? No! So when we consciously design for people with disabilities, we end-up making the world a better place to live in. Head-On Shopping is one of our many conscious efforts towards making a change in the world of design.
As an assistive shopping experience, Head-On Shopping ventures into a new dimension with already existing AR technology to fulfil its social responsibility. Head-On shopping helps people with motor disability & partial/no limb support to shop online by tracking head movements with AR kit and 3D geometry mapping. Technology that is touching lives and changing the world.
